Hosting and domains are paid in advance, and letting either lapse has consequences — your site (and email) pauses, and you may lose a domain. Renewing early is painless; this guide shows you how.
Renew from the client area
- Log into the client area.
- Open Services to see your hosting and domains with their renewal dates.
- Click Renew (or Invoice) next to the item.
- Choose the renewal period and pay. A new invoice is generated and your renewal date extends.
If you prefer not to think about it, enable automatic billing for the payment method on file and renewals are handled automatically.
Renewal reminders
WebFulHost emails a reminder before renewal dates — typically well in advance of the expiry. Keep the email address on your account current so those reminders land. If you're not getting them, check spam and update your contact details in the client area.
If something lapses anyway
- Hosting: may suspend or pause your site; your files are kept for a grace window after which backups may be removed. Renew promptly through the client area and everything returns.
- Domain: expired domains enter a redemption/edit window and can usually be recovered, but the longer they sit, the costlier and riskier it gets. Renew before expiry whenever possible.
A note on included domains
A domain included free for the first year on an annual plan renews at standard rates afterwards (renewal prices vary by extension, and are available from the domain registration page). You'll be told what's charged when the free term ends — see How to Choose a Domain Name for how extensions work.
